Snow in London today, a relative rarity. There was a dusting yesterday -- less than an inch but enough to mess up some trains. It will be interesting to see what happens during today's afternoon commute.

Big, fat flakes are fallling as I write this, coating the chimneyed rooftops of Bloomsbury. I half-expect Scrooge to come rolling out, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

More fun. Last night we saw a jazz orchestra at Royal Festival Hall. They were pretty good. The night's selections included "Sing, Sing, Sing", "Summertime", "In a Mellotone" and, last but not least, "Rhapsody in Blue."
